(reviewed 11/16/2018) 2018 has seen quite a few matches featuring tag team partners dancing their way through a big, flashy singles match. This match succeeds in a way something like Omega/Ibushi doesn’t due to its relative lack of hokey drama, focusing on high speed, competitive action instead of interpersonal turmoil relayed by bad actors. Some fans might turn their noses up at just how flippy-dippy this match is and I wouldn’t blame them too much for it, but this manages to be just hard-hitting and inventive enough to keep my attention the whole way through. In particular they pull off a double indie kick spot better than I’ve ever seen done before, which is probably worth checking out all on its own. If that doesn’t grab you, skim through the rest of this match, because I’m sure something will.
