Yuji Okabayashi, Takuya Nomura, & Yasufumi Nakanoue vs Ryota Hama, Kohei Sato, & Yoshihisa Uto – BJW Ikkitousen Death Match Survivor 2017 Day 1

Yuji Okabayashi, Takuya Nomura, & Yasufumi Nakanoue vs Ryota Hama, Kohei Sato, & Yoshihisa Uto

taped 03/05/2017, aired 03/12/2017

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan

(reviewed 10/19/2017) Okabayashi and Hama collide yet again! Nomura is the world’s strongest boy and is repeatedly murdered by Sato! Nakanoue and Uto don’t do much of note! Great six man tag here, the sort of thing where everyone’s just fiery enough to really get Korakuen going and it all feels great even if there’s nothing particularly great here. Things as simple as Nomura standing up after being snapmared by Sato gets a big reaction and feels big. The core four here carry most of the weight and Nakanoue and Uto aren’t overtly bad or anything, so there’s a lot to like in this match. Okabayashi’s the biggest standout here, especially in his sequences with Hama and Uto, but it’s not like everyone else is that far behind.
