Koji Kanemoto vs Francis Kaspin – wXw 16 Carat Gold 2017 Day 2

Koji Kanemoto vs Francis Kaspin

Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen, Germany

(reviewed 03/19/2017) Kaspin is one of wXw’s newest trainees and is apparently real good. If you don’t know who Kanemoto is, fuck right off. Strangely, I’d probably consider this match better than Kanemoto/Thatcher from the day before, mainly because Kanemoto is more into it. I guess that’s because it’s basically an extended squash in which Kanemoto takes it to this rookie, though Kaspin gets some good shots in and none of it feels all that malicious. Kaspin’s clearly less than two years in but some of his transitions are choice, indicating that he’s definitely got some natural talent and know-how. It’s not some great four star match or anything but it’s definitely a fun little reprieve for the show, which is enjoyable and appreciated.
