Toru Yano & The Briscoes vs Bullet Club – NJPW New Year’s Dash 2016

Toru Yano & The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) (c) vs Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Matt Jackson, & Nick Jackson)

NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship

Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan

(reviewed live) – Red Shoes tosses Yano’s DVD into the crowd, and is clearly trying to bankrupt the man. Mark and Matt face off, and their antics are top-notch. Matt’s selling of Mark’s weirdness is as good as anyone’s in the world, if not better. Yano gets a “BREAK” chant going when Fale tries to go at him and he backs into the ropes. Same spots from Yano as last night, but with a new twist. Bucks kick Yano when he tries the BREAK shtick again, and the Biz Cliz work everyone over on the outside. Yano is thrown back in and the heels work him over. Jay tags in and looks like a million bucks, as always. Match falls apart in the way it always does, but it’s good stuff in the chaos. Mark hits a simultaneous blockbuster on Matt and a senton on Cody Hall, who’s selling from a dropkick Jay give him, and I think Hall takes a shoot elbow to the nards. Matt flips out of the Doomsday Device from the Briscoes and they get some double team moves on Jay for a two count. Jay hits the Jay Driller and Mark connects with Froggy Bow for the pin. Solid little match, nothing special.
